Bavarian Gendarmerie Belt Buckle

Here are some shots of an Imperial Bavarian Police box buckle. This is the Imperial "bayerischen Gendarmerie Koppel aus Neusilber / Alpaka". It has a large Bavarian crown surrounded by a rope motif on the obverse. The German Silver design is die stamped in this rarely found small size buckle. Notice these are all made (that I have seen) with the vertical prong bar on the front viewer's right instead of the left as usually seen. It also has a bar with a single prong instead of those larger buckles with two prongs for wider leather belts. The buckle has no maker.
