dpast32 Posted December 29, 2021 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2021 Hello Gentlemen, I'm relatively certain as to what this particular WW1 era Holster is, & should I say what it was, prior to what I believe was an German Arsenal Conversion. However, as with anything else in the collecting realm, I always prefer to seek the opinion of my fellow collectors ? I feel that it 'was' an WW1 Austrian M-1908 Rast - Gasser Revolver Holster, prior to it's Arsenal Conversion to a P.08 Luger type, either for WW1, or possibly WW2 useage. As always, any & all comments & input will be very much appreciated. THANK YOU Best, Dom P. / 'dpast32'
jayhawkhenry Posted May 11, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 11, 2022 This one’s had an interesting life. The configuration looks correct for a Rast-Gasser holster. I would agree it was an arsenal rework sometime during WWII.
SARGE Posted May 12, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 12, 2022 I agree with jayhawkhenry. It certainly looks like other reworked Austro-Hungarian pistol holsters. The shoulder strap has been removed and it has the general appearance of an Austrian hard shell holster. This WaA is also associated with German reworks in my experience. An interesting P.08 holster.
