Digi-Shots Posted March 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2022 Thought I’d share some pics… British proofed, non-import marked “Mark VI” still in original .455 caliber. It came with the holster, belt and lanyard. Link to comment
Charlie Flick Posted March 22, 2022 Share #3 Posted March 22, 2022 What a neat rig, Linda. So many of the .455s in the USA now have been modified that it is really nice to see an original, non-modified piece. Very handsome! Charlie Link to comment
Digi-Shots Posted March 24, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted March 24, 2022 Thanks, Charlie This thing is massive! I read that originally the officers got these and when they realized how heavy they were, many of them opted for the smaller enfield revolver I think this is one of the first handguns I ever bought.. even before S&W’s! I was impressed with it… the whole rig came together. As you said, many of them got shaved down to accept .45 cal. There’s no import mark but I think the back to back “V” or broad arrow stamp might mean it was sold “out of service” (decommissioned)?? The Brits sure do like to mark up their weapons, don’t they!
