I picked this up at the flea market last weekend for only 5 dollars.  These were supposedly popular wear for the French airborne forces in Algeria.  I would image that they have been copied.  Is this an original or maybe a commercial copy.

I have a couple of these as well. I believe they are called F1 pattern hats but I don't know if they were commercial private purchase,issue or export. I know Tenue du leopard after the Putsch was issued to certain units and only outside metropolitan France. 

Here are mine. The size is 60CM but washed out as it was ink stamped and since the tag is in English, I'm assuming it's an export F1/F2.

Thanks for this information and photographs.  So this might be an import as opposed to an issued piece.
