KevinBeyer Posted June 9, 2022 #1 Posted June 9, 2022 This Order was created in 1891 by Leopold II, as King of the Independent Congo Free State. In 1908, it was incorporated as a colonial order into the Belgian awards system. The Order was awarded in the five classes: Grand Cross Grand Officer Commander Officer Knight plus three medals: gold, silver and bronze for meritorious services to the Belgian colony or its sovereign.
