patches Posted August 15, 2022 #1 Posted August 15, 2022 Manakampat Kesavan Unni Nayar or simply M. K. Unni Nayar, a Colonel, a WWII Vet for sure, do believe he was the only combat fatality incurred by India in the Korean War, KIA as a UN Rep August 12 1950 when the jeep he was riding in ran over a land mine. not sure if the the Indian 60th Para Field Ambulance Platoon sent over there a little later lost any people.
patches Posted September 24 Author #2 Posted September 24 Here's one casualty of the 60th Para Field Ambulance in 1951, a medic we imagine, who was driving an ambulance, he has his leg badly wounded, says nearly blown off, think he ran over a land mine.
