Alexa Posted August 19, 2022 Share #1 Posted August 19, 2022 I wanted to wait untill i get the rest of the parts for the set, But i decided to post some of it now for you guys, I know that some people here enjoy Norwegian uniforms. So here is my M/1914 uniform for the rank of First Lieutenant- Premierløitnant. The 1914 model did not come with a dress uniform. So the used the old M1894 uniforms, Or they could also use the M1894 kepi with the M/1914 uniform with the sabre. A litle hint for the people that want to learn about Norwegian uniforms pre world war two, A uniform will probably not look the same, There is so much diffrences bettwen uniforms and regulations being broken, You can see that on pictures quite alot, And the reasson for this is because Norway was a poor country back in those days, So they used what they could. So if you see a uniform or kepi/hat that looks off, It is probably normal.
Brig Posted August 21, 2022 Share #2 Posted August 21, 2022 Very good pointers...Norwegian stuff very rarely shows up in the US and it's tough to know what to look for.
Alexa Posted August 24, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted August 24, 2022 Here is a picture with the new Sam Brownie belt. I learned that the Norwegian Army used British Sam Brownies. But the Navy used totally different types of leather belts.
mikie Posted August 24, 2022 Share #4 Posted August 24, 2022 I don't know anything about Norwegian uniforms or equipment. This is a nice intro to the subject. Keep up the lessons! Mikie
BEAST Posted August 29, 2022 Share #5 Posted August 29, 2022 Mange Takk! There is not much information on these pre-WWII Norsk uniforms, so I look forward to seeing what you have in your collection.
