Proud Kraut Posted September 7, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2022 Can you post a close-up of the writing? I can only read the center word: Kameradschaft (fellowship).
easterneagle87 Posted September 7, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted September 7, 2022 Its for sale by a person I'm trying to do a bundle deal with. A veterans pin? I've magnified it. Value?
JD_Curios Posted September 8, 2022 Share #4 Posted September 8, 2022 I bought the same item last year. I was told at the time it was a WW1 veterans badge/pin from the Hesse region of Germany. From what I have found on the internet that is correct. As for price... I don't recall exactly what I paid. I believe it was in the 30-40 euros range. If anyone else has a better feel for pricing these, let me know if I got a deal or ripped off.
Proud Kraut Posted September 8, 2022 Share #5 Posted September 8, 2022 Welcome to the WMF, JD_Curios! I think your ID is spot-on. "Kriegerkameradschaft Hassia". Different variations of this veteran´s association pin do exist. The OP´s one is the elder variation, awarded 1874 - 1936. The second one with red & white lion was awarded 1900-1936.
