With I think the 1st Motor Battalion, Grenadier Guards Guards Armored Division, again in May 1944. She was appointed Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards in 1942.

With The Gurkhas  An unknown battalion of the Brigade of Gurkhas when they were station in England in the fall of 1960. Accompanying her is King Mahendra of Nepal.

This is from a movie, seems like a fun movie, a comedy, a fictitious account of a real event right. A Royal Night Out from 2015, Elizabeth still in the Army but in Mufti and her sister Margaret in incognito, under an escort of two Army Officers, also in Mufti we should think, are allowed to party on VE Day, but every one gets separated in the tumult there in London, and have adventures of their own  LOL.

In the 1969 comedy The Italian Job, Noel Coward plays a sort White Collar convict in prison, a Mr Big kinda guy, who still runs  jobs from the inside, he's also urbane a thorough English Gentleman who's an  intensely patriotic, he receives a huge amount of preferential treatment from the Warden on down, who knows, he may also of been a hero in the Great War., in example,  he tell his aide in there," By the way, while we're on the subject, I notice that some of that young mob in E Block are not standing to attention while the national anthem is played at the end of the nightly TV, tell them to do so  or they will incur my displeasure"  403555202_emoticonlaugh.png.45782ae219e5756cb41291712a963904.png

 

In his private cell, he has plastered his walls with every conceivable photo from newspapers and magazines of The Queen  he can find, and enjoys reading about her.

QEII Inspects The Nigeria Regiment in 1956 in that country, Troops here in their Dress Uniforms right, and we see the British Officers found in units like this, Seconded from British Units back home to serve abroad . The Nigerian Regiment, It was renamed it seemed during her visit to The Queen's Own Nigeria Regiment, Royal West African Frontier Force, taking in it's  linage from the  Royal West African Frontier Force. of old.

With the Barbados Regiment in 1977.  That Female personnel bring up the rear was the Queen's Appointed Aide for the visit.
