AgentPerry07 Posted January 28, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2023 Hello, In my previous post you can see that i have a M42 that had post-war anti rust paint all over it, i removed it and it revealed original camouflage. but the helmet still really stinks like rubber since there is still a bit of that post war paint left over the original camouflage, Does anyone know what to do against the smell? Does any one else also know how to get the colors to be more vibrant without making it look fake? - Its not the camouflage that stinks because it's modern, since when i first got the helmet i smelled it and it stank really like rubber and now after alot of sanding the smell has gone away slightly but still unpleasant. it had also melted onto my hands when i got it and guess what, it stank like rubber. Heres the helmet ,the colors look way less vibrant in real life.
