CaptConfederacy Posted April 7, 2023 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2023 I got this shoulder rank with a couple of other items and was wondering if anyone could positively identify it. I was told it was WW2 period Italian navy, but I've not come across anything yet that positively places it there. I have seen a reference on the 'net for the emblem on the shoulder board as being related to "mine laying". Does anyone have a positive ID on this in regards to nationality and time period? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the suggestions. I suppose it could be. I've seen the emblem of Mines confirmed as being used by the WW2 Italian Navy, but it's been very difficult finding out if the Italians were the only ones to use the emblem. Also, it's been devilishly difficult to find images or charts of enlisted Italian Navy shoulder ranks.
