patches Posted August 2, 2023 #1 Posted August 2, 2023 Was paging through my Osprey Men at Arms on the Belgian Army in WWI, and the name Jas comes up as a term for the common soldier, what does Jas stand for?
Preppy Picker Posted August 2, 2023 #2 Posted August 2, 2023 In Flemish or Dutch jas means coat but It’s also a derivative of Jan which means John in Dutch and Flemish.
