John4022 Posted September 6, 2023 #1 Posted September 6, 2023 Here's my latest piece to the collection found in a small antique shop here in Nebraska. The content is a dragon wrapping around the casing with prunus flowers and possibly a small bug near the bottom. Quick history on the Chinese Labour Corps, they were tasked with behind the front tasks such as digging trenches/graves, maintaining weapons/tanks, building railroads and cleaning up battlefields post war up until 1920. When cleaning battlefields, spent casings were a common commodity so Chinese themed trench art would be sold to soldiers & battlefield tourists for souvenirs. Hope you enjoy! -John
