Castle_Keep Posted December 21, 2023 Share #1 Posted December 21, 2023 This silk flag has been in my collection for several years. Can someone please identify the meaning behind the blue symbol on the flag? Should the flag be displayed with the symbol on the top or bottom? Was it manufactured for civilian or military use? Much appreciated, Patrick

Mr. Bushido Posted December 22, 2023 Share #4 Posted December 22, 2023 In conclusion, unfortunately I could not figure anything out about this. This is a prediction, but it seems to be for private use. The kanji for "元" is likely to be the initials of a private store or group name. It is often "元" pronounced "gen" or "moto". Mr B- Your observation and interpretation seems perfectly reasonable. Much appreciated, Patrick
