A rather candid shot of this Tank Crewman, no other info came with it, so could be in East Africa, North Africa, or the Soviet Union.

My contribution to this thread.  I picked this up a couple years ago.  It is an aluminum Italian badge.  I am told these were mounted on Italian tanks and trucks.  This one has been painted.  Likely by the US veteran that pried it off.  I have seen a couple of these over the years.

I think Italian militaria is underrated and I have been picking up a few pieces. cheers!

Very nice item, thanks for sharing.

The Ro Eto  is the abbreviation for the Regio Eserito (Royal Army).

And here's an unpainted one, I have to admit the painted one looks much nicer.

An interesting one, the crew of a Fiat 3000 (Model 21) Tank are wearing the new M35 Tank Helmet, yet are still wearing the M1909 tunic with choker collar rather then the new M1933 Tunic with Stand and Fall open at the neck collar.

This Tank Officer wears some kind of insignia on his helmet, might be a painted on squat version of the tank cap badge.
