I'd start with one of these Bofors munitions.

Hi Daniel96.

Welcome to the forum. While I am sure RMEAV8R is correct in his identification I have asked for an expert opinion from the International Ammunition Forum as to which round has the unusual hexagon design.

Will report back if I receive an answer.

This is a Drill Round marked as such to the right of the contractors initials.

The round is likely manufactured by QE Ltd. - Queensbury Engineering Ltd., Stanmore, Middx. This c company had at least two contracts for 17 Pdr Drill rounds and presumably more and other calibres.
