Fallschirmwomble Posted January 22 Share #1 Posted January 22 Hello Everyone, So glad to find this forum and be able to join it: I've already learned a lot just by reading a few posts/articles here. I'm a former Paratrooper (1980s/90s), based in Wimbledon, UK. I've been collecting British patterns of webbing (including variants produced in the Commonwealth) of the 20th Century since my childhood in the 1970s. I expanded into British NBC/CBRN items, uniform and ancillaries and, in the past two decades, have been researching, collecting and restoring British soldier parachute kit. During the Covid Lockdown, I made the mistake of starting research into the British military "Pattern 1958" Waterbottle & Mug as well as Bergans and Berghaus rucksacks. A deficiency in my knowledge is understanding and researching British contract numbers on webbing. I'm pretty sure I've found the right place to remedy this...
