I don't have the experience regarding the Combined Operations patch but I can say this would have been sown on by a regimental tailor as opposed to the soldier and my first thoughts were how poor the stitching is. The craftsmanship would not have been tolerated by any unit. As such, I wonder if the badge has been added at a later date. Just my thoughts.
