British Maroon Beret? When Was This Made

Like the title says, not sure this is British or not, and anyone have a clue as to what era? I think the maker is A H L. Tried searching and coming up with nothing. Thanks for any help, Ken

I suspect it's not 'AHL' but 'ABL', which stands for 'Armée Belge /  Belgisch Leger' (Belgian army), post -WW2.
