Anyone know what this is exactly?

It has always been in the boxes with my Grandfathers WWII bring backs.  My Grandmother said it was a 'German Tea fork'???  It may not even be military IDK, but with the stampings and general construction it kind of looks like it.  Have never been able to find any info on it.  Even Google Image search comes up empty, showing pictures of medieval leg armor or old motorcycle mufflers.  Any help would be appreciated.

Just a wild guess:  Could it be a prosthetic for a missing arm? That is the only guess I have.  FAR could stand for Forces Armes Royales.   Interesting item. Good luck.

That thing is really interesting. And I have no idea what it is.

Looking closely at the first picture, there is lettering on the perforated section, near the leather tab. Can you make out that marking?

Also, below the marking, there is a discolored area in the shape of an oval, as if a label was once there.

Can you tell us what is written on the object. I can see some lettering. "Parnt S" in the upper part.

 

I think the end with the fork was modified. The fork looks clumsy, so this was sawn and afterwards it was bend. The number (size?) and the FAR might be original stampings.

 

I also think it is a completely modified object. Difficult to say how it looked before.
