Bosley Posted May 12, 2024 #1 Posted May 12, 2024 Hi All, Picked this up at an estate sale recently. Does this one look ok? If so, any details you might be able to provide me would be greatly appreciated. Couple set of pictures posted to show the different lighting. The first two pictures don't have as good of detail as the rest, but in reality it is closer to the gold color here than the duller color in the rest of the pictures. Probably somewhere between the two. Thank you! -Bosley
jayhawkhenry Posted April 13 #2 Posted April 13 This one looks just a bit off to me. I’ve never seen belt hook. That’s cut off straight like that. Doesn’t mean it’s not right just means I have questions.
Bosley Posted April 13 Author #3 Posted April 13 Thanks for looking, jayhawkhenry. My understanding is that these SA buckles are in general a lot less standardized in construction, as well as less clearly understood, i.e. all the different authentic variants, who was making them, when they are from, etc. Here is the same buckle posted to War Relics, if you're curious. It seems like there is consensus that this is a legitimate buckle, but the thread does descend into all kinds of semi-unrelated directions. https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/sa-buckles-nskk-nsfk/sa-belt-buckle-835305/
