Proud Kraut Posted November 27, 2024 #26 Posted November 27, 2024 Together with the figures your Panzer I and the Krad come to life, very nice! Lars
ArtyScout Posted December 8, 2024 Author #27 Posted December 8, 2024 Hello everyone. With the holidays upon us, I'm taking my time in making this diorama. But it's coming along. Here are some more WIP of the guardhouse and road section. I've also painted the chair, phone, lantern and lamp. Enjoy. Semper Fi. Manny
Proud Kraut Posted December 8, 2024 #28 Posted December 8, 2024 The guardhouse is an absolute eye-catcher, well done Manny! Lars
ArtyScout Posted December 15, 2024 Author #29 Posted December 15, 2024 Hey guys. I'm glad you like the pics. Since the holidays are upon us, I am somewhat taking my time, due to some shopping and putting up the Christmas tree today. I finished the border gate, although I did paint the edges of the Polish Eagle sign. I also started painting my base, and I feel like it's about to come together soon. I want to finish this diorama before the holidays, which shouldn't be a problem. I have some WIP pics and once the base is done, I'm putting it all together. Of course there will be some tweaking and weathering. Semper Fi. Manny
Proud Kraut Posted December 16, 2024 #30 Posted December 16, 2024 Your checkpoint looks very realistic, keep up your great work, Manny! Lars
ArtyScout Posted December 20, 2024 Author #31 Posted December 20, 2024 Hello everyone, and Happy Holidays. Well, I finally finished this small diorama. I wanted it to be busier, but I think it conveys the message. I DO intend to put some background pictures to hopefully convey what this diorama represents even more. Like I always do. It is early morning, September 1, 1939, and the Wehrmacht has received its orders to commence its invasion of Poland. On this day 'The World Fell into The Abyss', as World War II begins. I hope you all like the pictures and I hope to post some more with a background scenery before the year is out. I will be on sabbatical until the new year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year to everyone on this site and the sister site, US Militaria. Semper Fi. Manny
mikie Posted December 20, 2024 #32 Posted December 20, 2024 Wonderful as always! Best wishes to you for a Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, and Happy Holidays! mikie
Proud Kraut Posted December 21, 2024 #33 Posted December 21, 2024 Excellent Manny, another masterpiece! Vehicles and figures are perfectly painted and I especially admire the base with the cobblestone and guard house. Great work! Merry Christmas - Fohe Weihnachten and a Happy New Year! Lars

ArtyScout Posted Wednesday at 09:47 PM Author #35 Posted Wednesday at 09:47 PM Okay, okay, I know I'm a little anal regarding my dioramas not having a decent background to put them in context. But I FINALLY found some pics that were suitable and you know that I just couldn't resist. I hope you like them as much as I and my wife did. This will be my last posting on this post. Enjoy and as always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated. Semper Fi. Manny
