I recently picked up what appears to be an NVA boonie hat.  It's a small size, completely unmarked, and seems to have a crinkly plastic layer sewn between the inner outer fabric and liner.  The seller didn't seem to know a lot about it but said he had gotten it with a set of black pajamas that he no longer had.  This one matches the pictures of wartime hats I've found online (including this forum) but I know there are reproductions available on eBay.  What I don't know is how good the reproductions are.

So is this a genuine wartime NVA boonie hat?  If so, what do they go for?  I may be interested in trading for something that's more in my wheelhouse.

Looks ok to me, i have a green one just like it, I think this style was made in china and sold/imported to N Vietnam for their military to use. I dont think theres really any replicas out there with the rubber sewn in the crown. As for value id say around $150 + or so?
