Proud Kraut Posted May 2 #2 Posted May 2 I had some of the German made wings as well but never found one of these ovals. You have a very impressive collection!
Yannis Posted May 2 Author #3 Posted May 2 Thank you very much, Proud Kraut, for your kind words! I am pretty sure I must have some spare (double) of these parachute wings- not a whole set, just one or two parachute wings with the oval. When I dig them out, I will let you know. Do you know if the cloth parachute wings exist in the Senior and Master classes? I have only the basic class. I found one set of Thai-made German Parachute wings in Thailand 10-15 years ago. I was looking for them for a long time and found them by accident in a small militaria shop in Bangkok. I will post them in this forum.
Proud Kraut Posted May 2 #4 Posted May 2 Yannis, unfortunately not my focos of collection so I don´t know, if cloth Senior or Master variations do exist. The "filled" wings on the bottom of your picture are interesting. Seem to be forerunners (or variations) of a pair of German made wings I do have in my collection. I´m looking forward to seeing pictures of your post 1966 German Bundeswehr wings. Lars
Yannis Posted May 3 Author #5 Posted May 3 G'day Lars! Greetings from Down Under! Your metal German US Type Parachute wings is indeed very similar to the "non-void" German US Type Parachute wings I have... even the pin at the back is similar! I will post a few more BW parachute wings and patches. Have a great weekend ! Yannis
