Peter O'Toole  wears the British 18th Infantry Division patch in a publicity shot for the 1959 West End play The Long and the Short and the Tall, story takes place in Singapore in 1942. Two errors here, one, the wearing of Formation Signs were not done in 1941-42 really. and two. he's wearing the Jungle Green Post WWII Shirt it seems, in Malaya the Khaki Drill stuff was worn. 

Michael Caine took over the lead role in the play from Peter O'Toole when O'Toole left to star in Lawrence of Arabia. Once again the inaccurate wardrobe, this time with the Jungle Green Battle Dress, this came out what in 1943 right.
