Proud Kraut Posted March 17, 2023 Share #154 Posted March 17, 2023 April, 24th 1965, an important date in Bundeswehr history. 10 years after foundation of the new German forces delegations of 319 Army and Air Force Battalions received their colors during a ceremony in a soccer stadium in Münster. patches Posted May 23, 2023 Author Share #165 Posted May 23, 2023 A Ex East German Soldier, a private, of the 4. Mot.-Schützendivision (NVA) gets his new Issue of Bundeswehr Stuff in 1990. We seen most NVA officers and some non commissioned officers were not retained, but it seemed junior ranks were, is this correct? Proud Kraut Posted May 23, 2023 Share #166 Posted May 23, 2023 Note that the soldier in the right is still wearing NVA uniform and rank insignia! Finally about 11.000 NVA soldiers continued their service in the Bundeswehr.

Proud Kraut Posted June 19, 2023 Share #170 Posted June 19, 2023 This is a great photo, patches. The blanket far right (most likely two blankets sewn together) was the first Bw sleeping bag. 25 years ago not many collectors took notice of old Bw uniforms. If you find such a complete set in mint condition you can make big bucks today.
