One more added to the collection! There are no breaks in the rubberized scabbard and intergral frog.  The frog hangers are slightly pliable; I am going to display the blade beside the scabbard to ensure there is no chance of damaging it.

Hello everyone, I am a beginner collector from Japan, so I use translation tools to communicate. Thank you for your understanding. Recently, I purchased the pouch shown in the photos at a flea market. At first, I thought it was a cut section of an M1923 cartridge belt, but after closer inspection I noticed several unusual features. Observations: • It is a 3-cell pouch, but there are no visible cut marks on either end (it appears to have been made this way originally) • The rear has three belt loops, but the overall width differs from an M1923 belt • The fabric shows color variation (khaki on exposed areas, gray under the flap), likely due to sun fading • The spacing between the eyelets is approx. 8.3 cm, which is much wider than standard U.S. M1910 spacing (~6 cm) • Because of this, it cannot be mounted using standard M1910 hooks • Lift-the-Dot fasteners marked “S.H.W.F.” with three star symbols • Inner flap with snap button inside each pouch • Appears to be made of cotton and looks relatively old Measurements: • Main body: approx. 12.5 cm (height, closed) × 27 cm (width) × 0.5 cm (empty thickness) • Belt loops: approx. 10 cm × 2.6 cm • Belt opening width: approx. 7.5 cm Based on these differences, I suspect this is not a standard U.S. military item. I considered whether it might be a foreign-made item influenced by U.S. equipment after World War II, but I have not been able to find any matching examples. The seller also mentioned that it did not appear to be for Garand or BAR ammunition. Does anyone recognize this pouch or have seen something similar? Any information about its origin or use would be greatly appreciated. Also, if possible, I would be interested in a rough estimate of its value. Thank you very much!

Thank you everyone for your kind welcome! I have not registered on the U.S. Militaria Forum yet, but I will consider joining in the future. I am still a beginner with limited knowledge, experience, and collection, and I may not be very active, but I look forward to learning from you all. Thank you!

A Still from a moving picture believe this is the Sitzkrieg Winter of 39-40, Feld Grau Muetzen all around, no unit is given. Also gives a view of the necessity of the crews having to wear Greatcoats in cold weather for lack of anything more streamlined, that will have to wait till late 42 early 43 with the new Mouse Grey/Field Grey Winter tops and bottoms, later camouflage sets.

Not that I am aware of.  Nice bayonets and a good collecting start.

Frankly I do not like the construction of this sword.  I generally go with the three strikes and you are out analogy.   The first red flag for me is the pommel is non standard and poorly made.  Second, the grip wrap is odd material and poorly attached.  Third, the scabbard is non standard with odd brass parts and poorly put together.   I think this sword is made up of odd parts and I would not buy it.   Others may chime in.
