A nice looking helmet with net from the movie a Midnight Clear, would guess helmet is a real one. We see of on the right Mock Up German vehicles, can't find other photos of them.

Another from Valkyrie, look good, real ones. Although big time uniform insignia error, that NCO has Private/Corporal shoulder straps, not NCO.

Those look like Police because they wear the colorful Shoulder patch.  But they also wear an armband.  Did some military police wear armbands?  Or did all of them?

These are Army Military Police who wear the standard Heer uniform with Army (Heer) breast eagle and Police (Gendarmerie) sleeve eagle.  They also wear a brown cuff title of "Feldgendarmerie" on the left cuff and their collar tabs and shoulder boards are piped in orange Waffenfarbe (branch color).  When on duty they wear a metal gorget on the breast.  Navy MPs usually wore a gorget and breast eagle and sleeve eagle and some wore a cuff title.  Air Force MPs wore a gorget but just a breast eagle in practice.  Waffen-SS wore only an SS sleeve eagle (not a Pol. eagle) and a cuff title for their regiment or one indicating "SS-Feldgendarmerie" depending upon their assignment.  Probably more than you wanted to know and regulations changed during the war and Heer Feldgendarms did not always wear the sleeve eagle or cuff title together.

I hope this is helpful and not any more confusing than necessary.

No, but I am still confused about all the organizations and which were civilian and how they morphed into military.

Back in the 1960's my brother had a board that had several examples of police epaulets mounted to it.  It was obviously a period salesman sample board.  I don't know what happened to it---assumed his son has it.

Also, in the early part of the war and before ORPO were issued these Armbands, because at that time te Military Police were not formed yet?? But during the war Soldiers from the many Arms of the Army, like Infantrymen,  Artillerymen, Smoke Troops, Signals, Engineers et al, were at times detailed for short periods to the Military Police as say extra personnel for whatever, and were issued these Armbands to wear, to show their authority and their powers on matters related to these duties, you know like in example Traffic Control, Checkpoints etc etc.
