      This item was most likely written by an IJN sailor.   Based on its contents, it appears to be a homemade manual compiling information regarding the operation of engines and various machines.

      This is the bottom half of a USMC M-1941 pack. The top half had the shoulder straps and the strap across the top of this passed through loops on the top half. Only the top half was worn in combat. The other bag you posted is, I think not absolutely sure, a US demolition bag.

      Here is an item in my collection.  The cap and tunic belonged to Hugh Card Brown. A Canadian by birth he and his parents emigrated to the US in 1926 when he was 7 years old.  Brown joined the RAF in December 1941 as a Pilot Officer, and was posted to 133 Eagle Squadron.  On March 16, 1942, somewhere over the English Channel, he was posted MIA.  (age 22)  He and his aircraft were never located.

      Yes and there are two letters inside. Not sure where he picked this up in the Pacific, his daughter said it was taken off a dead Japanese soldier. He was with the 4th Marine Air Wing.

      Here is another unidentified bag I have. Google tells me it is a Polish gas mask bag but I would like to confirm. It's well made with a button pocket on each side, what looks like leg tie straps on the back, and two compartments inside. Thanks for any help Mark

      A Sergeant with a helmet cover Italiano, could be Italy or in the East or West, in this latter case a man of one of those divisions that got reassigned, i.e. the 3r Panzer Grenadier Division, the 24th Panzer Division etc

      The handwriting is very old-fashioned and only some of it is legible.   Are there any other pages, such as the page after the cover?   The photo is upside down.
